having cereal issues and need help...
Isabella HATES to eat her cereal. she is up to it 2 times a day and it is not fun. she cries the entire time. i try to give her some and then give her the bottle, give her some give her the bottle but it is still not working.
right now she is on either the rice or the oatmeal.
should i put in her bottle or should i start it with fruit so it will be sweeter????
if i put it in her bottle how much goes in it ?

Did the doctor say she has to have it now for weight issues? If not, I don't see a reason to force it on her. Feeding is mostly for practice now, nutrition is from formula or breastmilk. It shouldn't be stressful, if she's crying through the whole process something isn't right!

its not for her weight i dont think. she is in the 50th percent tile. i think she just wants her bottle.
its so confusing!!! and i dont want to force her. maybe i should give the dr a call????

Maybe she is too hungry and doesn't have the patience for the cereal.
Did you try giving her the bottle, then about one hour later give her the cereal. At least until she realizes that the cereal will fill her up.

thats a good idea. i'll try that tonight. maybe her tummy is too empty. i usually start the cereal a half hour before she is supposed to eat so she is not starving but that may work out better. thanks guys.

my cousin's baby hated cereal so she just started feeding her veggies & fruits right away. This was also her second child, so she's a little more relaxed on things :)
Either that or try feeding her sooner so she isn't so hungry (and just wants the bottle) so she has the patience for the cereal? Or I like the giving her the bottle idea then feeding her a little later also.
DD got all upset last night when we were feeding her, and she was only halfway done.. I figured she was either tired, or DH made the cereal too milk-y and she wasn't liking it.. Tonight we'll give it another go lol.
