Having a Hard Time
Sorry for the rambling pity party, but I am having a really hard time holding it together and I am not sure what to do. As you know from my previous post, I am PG but my doctor is very concerned about the viability based on my bloodwork. He wants me to wait until next Tuesdays for another u/s.
How am I supposed to sit here and wait until next Tuesday?
The last 2 days at work have been really rough. I am "here", but not really. I can barely get any work done or concentrate for more than a half hour at a time. I thought about taking off, but I would be worse at home because I wouldn't have anything to do except think about it.
One minute I am really optimistic and the next minute I am not. Anything baby or pg related is making me so upset.
Any tips on how I can get through until next Tuesday? A few stiff drinks would help, but I can't even have any

Re: Having a Hard Time
It truly is torture. Can you find something to do that will be a distraction or at least let you zone out for a little while?
Call me a wimp, but when I learned that my BFP turned into a BFfailure, I stayed home from work for a week because of the many dr appts, physical pain from cysts and emotional pain. The only things that sufficiently distracted me were helping DH prepare for a tv appearance, watching lots of LOST dvds and I took up doing crossword puzzles. I didn't want to see or speak to anyone. When I physically felt well enough, DH and I went to the movies.

Re: Having a Hard Time
Oh my heart goes out to you. I would suggest taking it one minute to the next. Maybe set up a list of stuff to do at work and try to tackle it, bit by bit. Give yourself a time frame etc.. to complete it. Then take a break and a walk.
Try to rent a really good movie tonight and this weekend (not that there are many of them).
I had to wait a whole weekend once when things weren't looking good. It was a long long weekend. I spent it watching bad TV, movies and talking to my best friends.
The good thing is that they aren't sure. This could turn around and be good and you just have to get to Tuesday.
Oh and keep venting on here, its what we are here for.

Re: Having a Hard Time
I know how you feel. This waiting is horrible. I feel like I am just stick in limbo. I have been doing the best I can at work but I know I'm not really "there." i come home and I kinda just zone out. TV helps. Knitting used to help out but I swore my next project would be a baby blanket and just thinking of it makes me
I have never been one of those good "waiters." I hate surprises....I shouldnt say that, if you hand me a present and say "Surprise" I love it, its the "i have something for you, but you have to wait. . ." surprise that freaks me out. I actually get anxiety. Have you tried exercise? Maybe a little yoga? Sometimes just a walk around the block can clear the mind for a little while.
I know how the anything baby related causes pain. I was just in CVS tonight and went down the aisle with the easter candy and smack dab right in the middle of the cadbury eggs were easter baby bibs hanging there
I am sorry you're going through this and that I dont have any better advice for you

Re: Having a Hard Time
Thanks so much for everyone's responses
While I am definitely not as productive as normal, I am finding that trying to concentrate on work helps me not think about it. I may try the exercise idea too. I have avoided the gym the last few weeks, but it could be nice to just get on the treadmill and have a nice relaxing walk.
Thanks again for everyone's support. It helps that I have a place to go and vent

Re: Having a Hard Time
Oh God it hurt me to read this cause I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes I can't even stand to BE for one more second. Sometimes I want to jump out of my own skin. Living in limbo is torture. Everything around us reminds us of what we do not have. All I can say is to keep yourself busy, to keep your mind going, never idle. That is how I am getting through this.
