Having a different character than the theme for party?
DD's first birthday party is in a few weeks and already having a Minnie Mouse Bowtique theme with everything....
DD has been soo interested lately in Elmo more in the last couple weeks..
I already have minnie Mouse coming but would it be completely cheesy if I had Elmo come instead?? being that its not the theme?
Be honest...

Not a problem. The party is for your little one do what is going to make HER happy. Who cares if it doesnt go with the theme.

Totally fine!
At my son's 4th birthday party, he went from a Ninjago theme to a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle theme to a Transformers theme. 4yo DS was wearing a Ninjago shirt, we had a Transformers cake and we had Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle paper goods. 4yo DS kept changing his mind and I bought the items at different times.
4yo DS was happy at his party. I don't think anyone cared about the clashing themes.
