Have you used wallies or stencil painting in DC's room?
I am working on DS's big boy room. I want to do something similar to the picture below and include trucks, cars and planes which match his new bedding. I was looking into stencils which I could paint, but found something called wallies. Are they like decals or better?

I have vinyl decals in Ale's room, over her crib -- It used to say: Some people dream of angels - I hold one in my arms.
But she thought it would be fun to pull the letters off so now it just says Some people dream of ange
My point is - stay away from the vinyl decals if they will be at arms reach at any point in time. Plus they were a PITA to put up...

I have vinyl ones and I like them because you can peel them and restick. I believe Wallies are like wallpaper, and harder to get off.

I have the decals.
Logan hasn't realized that they come off the wall (yet) so he hasn't touched them.
We used Curious George ones from Target and they are great.

wallies are like wallpaper. They usually have the glue already on it and you dip in water to activate it and then apply to wall. Very easy.

Exactly.
I did something very similar to that picture in my son's room with wallies. We did a road in the middle of the room and we used wallies that matched my son's bedding...tractors, trains, fire trucks, etc. - transportation themed.
This is the bedding - it has tons of matching accessories and wallies. http://www.olivekids.com/dr-tptx.html
