Have you ever tried to return something even though the receipt stated "no returns or exchanges?"

DH bought me two of the ugliest watches for my B-day and I wanted to exchange them for one nicer one but the receipt states "no returns or exchanges." Do you think if I go try to talk to a manager and tell them it was a gift from DH they'd let me get something else? He got them in Swatch. I'd even take something worth less that I liked.

I would. I was able to exchange Mets tickets even though the tickets say no returns/exchanges. We even got better seats!

I try to never buy from places that have no return or exchange policy

yes - explain the situation. I was able to return a crib that was final sale.
