You can request it. Most lawyers will recommend two days but if the people have a lot of junk, etc. you can do 4 days. That's what my friend did and they held money in escrow for cleanup if necessary.

I agree - it's OK to do it ahead of time, but keep something in escrow until you actually take over the place

not sure when i'll be doing the walk thru...we were scheduled for tomorrow, but since our closing date has been changed, who knows..
