Have you ever booked through Expedia?
I found an excellent deal on a hotel for my trip to Italy this summer but I am so hesitant to book through Expedia. I just worry there are hidden fees I dont know about!
For instance see this note at the bottom of the booking:
The price shown above DOES NOT include any applicable hotel service fees, charges for optional incidentals (such as minibar snacks or telephone calls), or regulatory surcharges. The lodging will assess these fees, charges, and surcharges upon check-out.
Soooo if I were to book directly through the hotel, the price is $433/night (yikes) but Expedia is showing it for $276/night which includes "$25 in taxes and fees" It is a 4* hotel right on the river in Florence..these seems too good to be true right?

I have several times without any problems. Have you checked the hotels website? Maybe they are running some sort of deal you missed?
Or ring the hotel directly and ask them

Exactly, show them the link for what Expedia is offering and ask them to match it and you'll go directly through them.

The hotel was about $25-30 more a night and they admitted expedia did have lower rates. They did not offer to match so I booked with expedia!

I haven't book through Expedia - I prefer to deal with a travel agent in person. However, I did use Expedia to price my last trip.... I took that information to Liberty Travel and they matched the price AND gave us a credit on future travel

never had a problem with expedia and i've used them numerous times. what u see is what u get, even if u think it's too good to be true
