Re: Have any of you ladies ever.....

I was on that cocktail after magnesium for 3 1/2 days with my dd it started at 24.5 weeks the indocin and procardia didn't work for me so I ended up with a turbutaline pump for 13 weeks it kept my baby in till 37 weeks and I delivered a very happy healthy baby no complications only side effect I had was high blood pressure which would have most likely happened anyway my mom had the same issues

Re: Have any of you ladies ever.....

I had ProCardia 4x a day from 33wks to 36wks with 75mg Phenergan and Vicodin as needed. I had preterm labor as well, but also gallstones so I was in a lot of pain. I also had hyperemisis so my doses of Phenergan were going up and up. Emmy had no complications and in all my research and feeling uneasy about it I can tell you the risk of the meds did NOT out weigh the risk of delivering a very early baby. As my pain and hyperemisis went up so did my bp so the meds kept me comfy and baby happy. Try not to worryChat Icon This is the best thing fro the baby and you!

I did take indocin after when I was first diagnoised with Rheumatoid Arthritis, but I stopped taking it when it made my stomach very upset. You should consider taking 2 tums a day or some form of Zantac or Prilosec as well to help your tummy and GI track. Indocin is pretty rough on these systems.

Re: Have any of you ladies ever.....

Because of preterm labor I was on procardia from about 18wks to about 30wks. My doc wanted me to stay on the meds until 37wks but I was nervous about being on meds while preggo so I made the decision to stop taking it. My son is now almost a month old and he is healthy and beautiful.
