Has anyones mom disappointed/hurt them through the pregnancy?
My mom has said and done some hurtful things throughout. Anyone else?

My mom did with my first pregnancy. It was something I actually found out way later though. It still bothers me to this day actually.....

Yes, unfortunately my mom has made hurtful comments like about how "huge" I am plus some colorful suggestions for baby names like Schmendrick (which is Yiddish for stupid  ). She also isn't hosting my shower which really upset me but luckily I have some wonderful friends who stepped in to host instead. I'm just trying to accept that she is who she is and I'm not going to be able to change her behavior. I'm sorry you're going through this but know that you're not alone! It's such a special time when you're expecting and it's hard when your mom isn't as supportive as she should be.
