Has anyone used the Frederick Fekkai protein rx hair mask?

How do you like it? I noticed when blow drying my hair yesterday that I have a lot of breakage at the top, probably from putting my hair up all day in elastics. Does this help repair damage?

If it has protein alone it can cause breakage. Usually when using protien you have to mix it with a shot of moisture. If you get something like the goldwell Kerasilk and mix the 2 it would be better. Also you don't want to leave it on to long. Many of the companys recommend not leaving it on longer that 20 minutes. Check the back and see what it says. Protein can make the hair stronger but it will also make it harder which will cause it to become brittle. I never let my clients go home with protein alone. Hope this helps.

It's a hair mask, so I assume it is sort of mixed into a liquid/gelatin sort of thing. But thanks for the tip! what should I look for in the ingredients to know if it is mixed with moisture? Just water, right?

I used it twice and HATE it! I found that Dove Intense Therapy for dry hair conditioner works GREAT as a mask as well. I glob it on wrap saran wrap around my head and then a warm towel for 20-30min or longer if i'm busy and then wash it out with cooler..not cold water. It is AMAZING and cheap!

i used to work for them when that product was developed. it doesnt do anything. if you really want a good one and dont mind spending a little more $, try Kerastase. you can go to their website to fine a salon that sells it near you.

Ever since my run in with FF at home hair color I am boycotting all of his products--especially since I didn't get a response from his people. Sorry this doesn't help you--I just wanted to vent about FF.
