Has anyone tried "tube" mascara?

This is the type of mascara that forms a "tube" over each lash and then the tubes slide off when you wash it off? I am so intrigued. I want to try, but need feedback first.

I ONLY wear the double extend beauty tubes by Loreal. I use an eyelash curler but it holds the curl and really extends. Sometime I don't use the primer side and just use the mascara. Washing it off is so easy.

I only use this mascara and I LOVE it!! It makes my short and sparse lashes look long and full. It doesn't give me raccoon eyes and it comes off so easily. Just warm water, no need for makeup remover. The key is to put on the primer and then immediately the mascara, otherwise it looks really clumpy.

Stuff never worked for me. Was clumpy and couldn't get it off. Just wasn't for me.

LOVE, LOVE this. I am a HUGE mascara critic and this is a great one. I have tried EVERYTHING on the market, and personally think its the best for the money out there. I use the Double Extend by Loreal.

Re: Has anyone tried "tube" mascara?

I remember reading a beauty review and the girl's lashes were being pulled out when the tubes were pulled off -- freaked me out enough that I never wanted to try the product.

Re: Has anyone tried "tube" mascara?

I tried it and went back to my old standby. It's great for making your lashes longer, but I need volume as well, which this mascara does NOT provide. It does wash off easily though.

I have not worn mascara for about 20 years because of allergy problems (I'm 41). I have tried some new ones but I feel like I have to take it off immediately before my eyes swell. I have wasted my money whenever I tried. I was wondering if the "tubes" were better or worse for sensitive eyes. I guess they are worse, huh? I have never tried any of the "tube" types at all. Should I bother?

I really like Loreal Double Extend mascara.

As for tearing out lashes, you can't just pull the tubes off. If you wet your eyes with warm water and gently rub the lashes, the tubes will just slide off.

Re: Has anyone tried "tube" mascara?

HATED it.
It made my lashes long and spider like- but with no fullness.
Just long and skinny.
I need volume too.

And the tubes would come off and get in my eye and that is NO FUN with contacts.
PAINFUL!!! Chat Icon

Never again.

Re: Has anyone tried "tube" mascara?

Okay, so the woman with the allergies concludes that this type of product is a "don't" for allergy sufferers. It does sound like it can really make the lashes look great but I would have a major problem if I react to something that is hard to take off. I guess I have to just continue to be jealous of all the mascara wearers!

I had the one that you get in the drugstore and I hated it.
Long time ago, I had Blinc which they carry at Sephora - much better but I'm not spending that on mascara.

I got the new one, Lash Blast and I like it alot.
