Has anyone stopped BF for meds and successfully were able to return to it when they were done?

I have had a UTI since the day the baby was born. Tried to treat it naturally, no luck. Have no choice but to pump and dump-I am on Microbid. I am allergic to penicillin and that is all my DR said is safe to take while nursing.

So I will be on it for 7 days and I am pumping and dumping. My fear is Kristopher won't take it again. I may have to just pump and bottle feed him from now on. Anyone successfully return to nursing? He takes both right now but who knows how long he will remember what to do. Chat Icon

I stopped for 2 days at the longest. He got back into BF pretty easily, but he was 10 weeks when I did it.
