Has anyone spoken to your pediatrician about baptism?

I just called my church and there are few dates available. I had wanted to get the baby christened sometime in October but the date available is 6 weeks after my due date. Is that too soon for the baby to be out and about? I just called my ped but of course the office is closed for lunch and I have to go to the church now. My timing is always so impeccable.

My pediatrician said no crowds until 8 weeks. We were up & about, but didn't take our son to a wedding we went to at 6 weeks (with lots of people). There were younger kids there... maybe about 5-6 weeks old.

Our ped is conservative & advised against it.

Hmmmmmm I never thought to ask my Ped. Emmy is being Baptised this weekend at 18 months so no issue there, and the new baby will be baptised in the hospital the day after they are born, followed by a church service sometime in December. SO more then likely at 4wks or so. I feel comfortable with this and plan to not "pass the baby" around to people. In our church the Pastor believes in Baptisim as soon as the baby is born.
