I was disappointed as well. Didn't think the story line/plot was that engaging.

I loved it! I wasn't thrilled about the ending but I loved the cinematography and the acting. But, I love period movies and I watch Masterpiece Theater every week.

Re: has anyone seen "Atonement"?
I really liked this movie. the beginning was a bit boring but then it got really interesting. loved the twist at the end but I knew it wasn't going to have a happy ending.

The book made me want to gouge my eyes out with a plastic spoon. I can't imagine what the movie would make me want to do. Though, to it's credit, I did hear the cinematography was beautiful.

I agree, it was a bit slow and hard to follow in the beginning but after the whole "incident" I thought it was pretty good...

i was teasing you i never read the book but i can see how it would be boring - the movie itself was strangely laid out. i didn't realize so many people hated it though!
