Has anyone played "The Sims"?

my niece was playing this game on her laptop all last week while we were in OH for Christmas. she showed me how it works and then we played together for a few hrs. it's a pretty cool game.

I used to play it on my computer all the time. They make all different ones now, I might get one for my Nintendo DS.

I play sims 2 with the expansion pack of sims nightlife. I have a bunch of cheat codes and would give myself an infinate amount of money.

Sims is addicting. especially when it comes to building the house

so addicitive.

I used all my cheat cash to be sure my ppl never had to have a job. I made their home an island to prevent easy access for thieves and really decked out my garden

i lost so much life to that game. i played for days last year. i actually went through withdrawal from it and realized i had to start living real life again so now i'm afraid to play it!!!!

I have! I only play when I'm dog sitting at my parents cause we have a cruppy old laptop that freezes if you try to play anything. But we just got a new desktop...so the sims may be coming back into my life!

I just bought my sister Sims Life Stories- its like Sims with a goal. an actual game with an ending.

I can't wait to try it.

When I first got it I was addicted and stayed in all the time to play, that was my life the sim life, since we moved I packed the X-box but I am wanting to play it again now, thanks

LOVE that game!!!!!!!

I love to build the houses and furnish them with the $$ cheat codes!

I even tried a cheat code that showed nude skins on the SIMS when they shower and stuff- LOSER!

I can't play that game anymore because I could seriously play for HOURS on end.

I have better things to do now- like post here!

But I DO miss SIMS. Maybe I'll play it again soon.

I use the cheat codes, but DW plays for real.

On the PC, we have Sims, Sims2, many expansion packs like "Hot Date", "Livin' Large", "House Party", "Vacation", "Unleashed", "Superstar" and "Making Magic"

We also have/had SimCity, SimCity2000, SimFarm, SimLife, and a few other Sim or Sim-like games.

I play SIms 2. I am behind on a few expansions. I have University, Nightlife and Open for Business. The SIms 2 is so much more involved than the original. I honestly LOVE this game it's increidbly involved and so infinite. You cna killl days or weeks playing it. I haven';t played in months but I played yesterday.

It's so hard to explain why it's so addicting, isn't it? I had a lot of fun with it too, and played it during football season when I was husband-less.

Now I have Sims 2 with the Seasons expansion pack so I could create a garden. I HAD to give myself a whole lot of money, and had to quit my job so I would have time to take care of my garden.

If only I could do that in real life.

I used to do weird crap with them too. Like put a Sim I didn't like in a room with no doors or windows. And then wait till they slept standing up and peed themselves and finally the grim reaper came to claim them.

My seperation of reality and the game came one day when the Sim I had created based on my husband electrocuted himself and died unexpectedly. I was actually upset about it. That Rusty had killed himself!

I never created a Sim based on him again!

I had The Sims and all of its expansion packs on my old computer. I have Sims2 and most of the expansion packs on my current computer. I haven't played in a while but I could play for hours and hours at a time. It's very addicting.
