Has anyone leased than bought out their lease on a Lexus?
I am finding this so frustrating...when we bought the car we were told the buy-out price is negotiable. Well...our lease is up and it's not. We really wanted to buy it out but now they want to charge thousands more for extended warranties. Now I know why my parents always buy GMC cars...the buy outs are negotiable and the warranties are not insane. I am sick of having a huge car payment and dont know what to do now. Turn in the car and lose all the $$$ we put into it and buy a new car elsewhere or suck it up and buy it.

I have never seen a lease buyout that was negotiable.
That number is negotiated when you start the lease. But once you drive it off the lot that buy out fee is fixed.

the buy on my sisters Ford was not neg
neither is one on my lease (MB)
they said you should never buy your own lease- it's better to buy it from the begining
I am going to trade my lease in and by a pre-owned one instead

I have heard it's rarely worth it to buy out your lease also.

Isn't buying a pre-cert and buying your lease the same thing??
My buy out is a little less than what the cert-pre owned are going for so we are going to buy it. I rather know the history of the car in terms of service etc.
I also never heard of a lease buy out that was neg.

I heard you dont get a good deal when buying out a lease. I'd just lose the money and move on next car you hould finance if you think you will keep it.

nope- it's not the same thing- you get a much better deal if you buy someone elses lease off return
plus in my case- I am "downgrading" to a less expensive SUV

The buy-out price on your lease is fixed at the beginning of the term. I don't think it is negotiable. I'll ask DH for you.
