Has anyone heard that the UV machine at the nail salon can be damaging
There was a very brief snippet in last month's Parents magazine saying that there is enough UV in those machines to do some damage to the skin. I thought that those machines only gave off UVB light and not UVA but I am not sure if that matters. I do not get UV gel nails but rather pink and white acrylics with the UV top coat. I do not want my hands to age prematurely nor do I want to risk exposure. Anyone have more info about this?
PS. I know I can google it but I figured I would ask if anyone has already found more information than I have. I think I should get a pass this time because I hardly ever ask a question without going to my friend Google first .

I never heard that before but I don't like the machine or the gel they use. I opt for a top coat. I save money too.

Do you get a top coat on pink and whites? I guess I can do that.
