Has anyone ever used
vacuum storage bags? I want to start packing away some clothes he's outgrown and this seems like a nice way to pack a lot and save space.....but do they really work? Do they keep out bugs, water, basement smelling air and stuff like that?

We bought the space bags from Bed Bath and Beyond. I can't believe how small it can get things. I never used it with baby clothes..that's a great idea. I've only used it on comforters.

I used them for my maternity clothes. I didn't even think to use them for her clothes too....

I must've gotten defective ones I threw them out because every time I sucked the air out it leaked and was full of air again in the morning

This happens to me with the jumbo bag, I put my comforter in it and sometimes I look in the closet and it all puffed out!
But I put Aidans clothes in the smaller ones so far so good. Can't vouch for the bug, dust and smell aspect though it hasn't been long enough

I've put a bunch of my clothes in them. I have found that they take out the extra air around the clothes but they don't really save that much space. I mostly just keep everything in them because it keeps them clean and dust-free while stored in the garage.
