Has anyone ever planted Persian Shield?
My BIL in DC planted this last year, and I can't stop thinking about it. Its absolutely beautiful. I dont know how well it would do though...anyone have any experience with it?

I believe it does best in full sun and doesn't usually make it through the winter. If I'm not mistaken...

That looks like what I put in the large planters in the front of the house and they do fine in partial sun. They get pretty tall, about 24 inches, and bush out some. They give my planters nice height, color and fullness and I accent with other annuals. They don't winter over so I've planted them for the past two years. The front of our house is on the west side and we have oaks in front so it doesn't get much direct sun at all but it's not deep shade either.
