Has anyone ever had to reschedule/cancel a party due to rain?
I was hoping the weather for Saturday would clear up but it looks like periods of rain and thunderstorms are a definite. I probably won't make a definite decision until Friday because I guess things can always change last minute with the weather.
I don't know if I should pick a rain date sometime in May, if it's supposed to only shower off and on get a tent and hope for the best or try to find an indoor place like a bowling alley last minute????
I have a fire truck coming with 25 kids and about 30 adults. I planned on doing the food inside anyway but wouldn't be able to have the whole party inside my house the entire time.
I was so excited about t his party! Everyone was.
ETA: I just contacted a few tent companies. The tent would be an add'l $400 plus being it would have to be put up in my front yard a permit from the town is required which is an add'l $95. So the tent isn't happening I am already paying for the fire truck to come.
So looks like we have to hope for good weather or reschedule!

I would get a tent with walls and put it as close to the house as possible. Have them set up Thurs or Fri so the ground can dry out. You can always buy the fake carpet stuff too and put it down if it is still wet. Sorry!!

Aww Crissy...... what a bummer. It poured for Ale's family BBQ birthday last year so I feel your pain - we put up tents and it worked out fine though.
I think I would get a tent - probably less $$ and hassel in the long run.
Besides, we are away every weekend in May so I am biased!!

I just called tent companies. I would have to get a permit to put a tent up in the front yard and the cost overall would be expensive
