Re: Has anyone ever called The Geek Squad?
I brought my computer several times to Best Buy to use the geek squad and they are very good, but they can be expensive... I think that any computer repair is a lot though. They also convinced me to get a lot of software that I normally would not have gotten. I have started using this guy that picks your computer up and drops it back off at your house within a day usually. He is great! And so cheap... FM me if you want his name! He works out of Huntington and lives in West Islip, but he will pick your computer up anywhere basically...

Re: Has anyone ever called The Geek Squad?
Working in the computer industry, I would go to another repair place before calling geek squad. There are many, many complaints about being overcharged, taken advantage of, and bad work being done (lost data, fried motherboards, etc) and inexperienced technicians. Of course, on the flip side I'm sure there are plenty of people who have had good experiences.
No matter WHAT you do, whether it be geek squad, a smaller repair shop, or letting a family member touch your computer.... make sure to backup your data!
