Has anyone ever broken their big toe?
Do you just let it heal or do you need to go to a doctor for it? The big toe controls like your whole foot... how did you get through it?

I have and it sucks!
Dr. just gave me pain meds and I wore sandals until it healed!

I just had a doc look at it -- then I taped it to the next toe until it healed. I wore flat Ked-like sneakers. It took about 4-6 weeks to heal. And I kept on making every swim practice the entire time! I just couldn't use that leg too much until it healed enough.

unless its some type of compound fracture where the bone is sticking out... the Drs cant really do much except give you pain meds..... ive broken ALL but 2 toes.... my left big toe twice... it sux!!! good luck
