Has anyone ever been to Barbados?

and did you like it? Where did you stay?

DH and I are planning a vacation in Feb or March 2007 and I want to go to Barbados. I just saw that they are the first caribbean island to get their own Zagats guide!

DH and I went to Barbados in July. We loved it. We stayed at the Hilton. It was very nice and new.

Yes there is only one Hilton. It was nice and the beach was nice too.

We went in June and stayed at the Fairmont. We loved the island and the hotel but the hotel was VERY quiet (perhaps bc it was off-season).

We went to Barbados for our one-year anniversary last year and LOVED it. We stayed at the Coral Reef Club (west coast) and it was fantastic, I wouldn't recommend staying there now though because apparently they've had a lot of beach erosion since we were there and are now shuttling their guests to another beach—Not ideal. We loved Barbados as a whole though. The west coast is more upscale and secluded while the south is a bit more lively and populated. We did the Tiami day-long cruise and loved it! Also the Island Safari jeep tour was a lot of fun. And if you go, you MUST eat at the Cliff! We want to go back to Barbados just to eat there again!! If you're interested I will post some pics of the island.
