Has anyone ever added a garage?
If so, approx, how much did it cost?

Yeah, that's what I've been quoted - then you also have to think that it will increase your taxes as well!

Re: Has anyone ever added a garage?
I saw on Hidden potential once they were going to add a carport instead of a garage and I think that was about 5K.. that could always be another, cheaper option.

make sure you can add one though, if the house never had one sometimes the town wont let you build one

The previous owner planned to do build one, but never got to doing it, so we think it is ok

Re: Has anyone ever added a garage?
There are also some companies that can prebuild it and come and deliver it to your house, I always see them at car shows and it is a lot cheaper then building one and it is considered a shed on a cement foundation.

Re: Has anyone ever added a garage?
with a garage your taxes will go up...it's considered living space. That is why many houses down in the South have carports...not enclosed so it doesn't affect taxes.
