has anyone done a DIY cake smash?
i was browsing some sites that make the DIY cake smash look easy, just wanted to see if anyone on here has done this, and how your experience was! and also what supplies you used/where you got them. Thanks!

I did but didn't look professional but it did come out cute!
I set up in the kitchen, put down a pink plastic table clothe, bought a cute mini cake from Waldbaums. I let her wear her Birthday dress that we took her out in or you can dress them down to just a diaper. Took lots of pics, and lots up close. Its very easy and fun!

I did. Like PP, it probably wasn't what a pro would get but we got some great pics and it was fun. We've never actually gotten pro pics of DD.
My one regret was not going to the fabric store to get something bright and new for a backdrop. We hung a sheet one the wall and draped it down with a piece of clear plexiglass over the bottom for DD to sit on so it didn't get all wrinkly. I ordered a banner from etsy that hung behind her and made them cake myself. We just did it on a really bright day to take advantage of the natural light. Doing it outside would probably be fun too.

aw it came out cute, she's adorable.. yeah i just can't see spending $400 on a photographer. so was looking into DIY.
