Has anyone been to the NY Aquarium lately?
Wondering if its worth a visit, are there enough attractions open since Sandy?

We went a couple weeks ago.
They charged half price, $12 each i think, since it's not all open yet.
There wasn't too that much to see.
We lucked out with warm weather so there were some animals outside & the sea lion show was good.
DD is 2 & a half & she loved it but an older kid might be board.

Thanks..I was hoping to go today but my 5 year old may be bored,. would hate to waste the trip if there is only a few attractions open :(

A lot of stuff is still closed. I wouldn't make the trip just for that. If you want to walk around the boardwalk or go to Luna Park then it might be worth it. I live 10 minutes away so I would take my kids but I wouldn't make the trip from LI just for the aquarium. Can't wait until everything is open again and they get their new shark tank. It will probably be really nice.

I went in October & found we could easily go through the place in 15 mins...and that's stretching it. We spent more time on the boardwalk than at the aquarium.
I am looking forward to all the changes, but that's not suppose to be complete until 2016.
