He's very good at what he does, my SIL knows him professionally and says he's the best as far as pediatric orthopedists on LI (although I hear there arent that many). But....he is notoriously late with his appts. I only went to him once, since my DD's problem wasnt an ongoing issue and I waited about 1 1/2 hours. I have a friend who has gone to him many times b/c both her children needed his services and she has waited 2 1/2 - 3 hours sometimes. I remember one time she was already waiting an hour and found out he wasnt even in yet. And he has very little personality...however his physician's asst is really nice (and pretty cute) and as I mentioned, he has a very good rep. Let me know if I can share any more info...

Dr. Lewis is outstanding, but like Liz said, notoriously late. My poor little Peanut broke his leg in October and we took him to Dr. Lewis for a follow-up. We were there 2 1/2 hours before we even saw him. Bring your patience (no pun intended) and food for baby.

Liz- Saverio isn't cute enough to wait 3 hours for. Although, when we got K's cast off on the 10th, we were in and out in 45 minutes (because we didn't need to see Lewis)!
