Hard boiled eggs - how did you serve them?

Did you mix them with anything? I tried giving to DS last night and he wanted know part. I thought I remember reading to mix them with applesauce. Any other tips on how to serve them.

OMG My son LOVES hard boiled eggs, sometimes he asks to eat an "egg in my hand" I just peel them and give them to him, he loves them! They are the one thing that he will always eat.

At what are hard boiled eggs okay? Just the whites, right? DD is 11 months. I didn't know I could offer these!

I was only giving the yolk part, since the white part is the more allergic one, but the dr said it is ok to give the whole egg. He loves them scrambled, but so far no with the hard boiled. I am going to try again tonight.

What part does he not like? DS LOVES egg yolks hard boiled but, he HATES the consistency of the whites that way... no matter what I mix it with - so i only give him yolks hard boiled... i haven't really given him whites more than twice though...

Actually, our ped said the white is the part more babies are allergic too - he had us give the yolks first. After 9 mos he said we could give the yolk first - for a week and if no reaction then, to move on to the white.

and just FYI, we introduced eggs around 10 months or so and thought he was fine with both the white and yellow b/c he didnt have any major reactions. However, i did notice he had some screaming fits sometimes when i would feed him items with eggs in it. Well when we went for allergy testing when he was 1, it came back that he was allergic to the egg whites. But the doctors said it was mild, so instead of hives, he prob had gas, he would sneeze, have stomach pains, etc (hence the screaming fits-poor baby was prob in pain). So def watch out for any other kinds of symptoms too besides just a rashChat Icon oh and we have tried to give him little since just to see (dr recc trying it since his allergy is mild so we could see if he had symptoms now that we were more aware) and sure enough he did get slight rash on his face, so we are holding off completely till his next allergy testing.

Hmm, good point. I tried giving him the whites of the hard boiled. I will try the yolk tonight.
