happiest baby on the block rave!!!
OMG - i love this book!!! My son (knock on wood) has been great, easy to calm etc...but i figured i'd try out some of the techniques in the book...
well, it said that if we swaddle him, he'll sleep better (i kept him in the sleep sacks since he's been home b/c he seemed more comfortable that way)
anyway, i tried it last night and he only woke up 3 times i'm so excited...he seemed so peaceful too with the tight wrap. so far the most useful information has been the side/stomach hold ---keeps him calm & content and the night time swaddling! so excited
if you are having trouble with your crying DC, i suggest you read this book...i've found it very useful thus far!

A true lifesaver for us too. DH read it in 1 day out of desparation when DD was about 4 weeks old. I hear there's a video too, that would have been more helpful.
I plan to recommend it to all my pregnant friends, maybe include them as shower gifts.

We had the book and the video. The video really helped us learn a great technique to the whole swaddle concept!
DH was always swaddling DS, holding him on his side and shhhhhhing him!
This was a true lifesaver for us!
We recently had to get a large swaddle blanket from BRU.... what are we going to do when DS grows out of this one???!!!!

Even though my son (knock on wood) has been absolutely amazing and I did not need to read the book or get the CD, I did anyway and I liked it as well! I felt that the first part was kind of repeating itself over and over, but the second part was great...those techniques are great and I sure use them when DS is cranky. I also have the CD with all the weird noises and we take it with us on the road in case Michael starts to fuss in his car seat...so far thank God we haven't used it yet.

I bought the DVD and learned so much from it. It worked wonders for months when i learned how to swaddle correctly and calm DS down using the 5s's
