Hamptons Day Trip
Trying to plan a couple of weekend day trips for the summer. We have a 10 mo old DD. Any suggestions on where to go/see/eat/shop, East Hampton vs South Hampton? I know absolutely nothing about the Hamptons but think it would be a quick, fun outing.
Thanks!

Re: Hamptons Day Trip
Westhampton is the most western Hampton (obviously!! Haha!) and has a very cute town ( Main Street ) with lots of stores and restaurants and ice cream shoppes to walk around! You can go to cupsogue beach during the day too which has a mini boardwalk and place to get food and drinks and of course beach access! Many times they have live music as well!

I would do East Hampton over Southampton but that's just me. Once you narrow down to which town, i can help you since i live out here.
Sag Harbor is also cute.

I'm just looking for something family-friendly. Not really looking to do a beach day, but being by the water would be great. West Hampton sounds like it may be good with a walkable Main Street, shops, restaurants, etc.
I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

My mom lived in westhampton for a while right in town. Westhampton is cute but i think sag harbor would be a better option. Westhampton has a smaller town IMO so there aren't too many shops.
Sag Harbor has a cute town and is right on the water so you can walk to see all the big boats in town and so forth. I would rather take my kids to sag harbor than westhampton.

Re: Hamptons Day Trip
Sag Harbor for sure. Such a beautiful town. With a db you could stroll along the village streets and look at the old houses. Also the whaling museum is very interesting- wouldn't work for toddlers but since your db is little you ahould definitely check it out. Just bring a carrier because they may not allow strollers.
