Haircut
DS desperately needs his hair cut by a professional. We took him somewhere the first 2 times (a friend, then a barber) and he was a nightmare both times. DH has been buzzing his hair since, but it's so messy around the edges and it's still a nightmare- I hold him down while DH tries to buzz him as best he can. I'd really like him to get a nice clean cut- buzz short on bottom and kept a little longer on top.
Recommendations? I'll go to a kid place (maybe that will distract him), a regular barber who is good with kids, or anywhere else!!! We're in Babylon.

Haircut
I go to the Barber in Lindenhurst right on the corner of wellwood and the train tracks. We usually have Nicole cut his hair. She is great with him. I think she is off t, W or W TH. I can't remember.

Re: Haircut
I give DS a lollipop to distract him. He doesn't even realize what's going on until it's basically over b/c he's so into his lolly!

Re: Haircut
We go to zippity dos but the Roslyn locale. They give great haircuts despite the fact that my sons are squirming wriggling lunatics and they don't bat an eye.

This ^^
I took DS to Zippity Doos for his first few haircuts and he was an angel. I made the mistake of taking him to the barber for a quick trim and it was a nightmare. The barber kept yelling at him and telling him to stop crying, that he was a big boy, etc (DS was 18 months at the time... it was awful).
Next hair cut, right back to Zippity Doos, where he was back to being an angel. Sat. Watched his Bubble Guppies DVD and only got PO'd when the haircutter stepped in his line of vision.
Good Luck!
