I would call the vet. There could be many reasons. Demodex mange, the dog maybe scratching itself because of dry skin.... I would definitely call the vet and make an appointment.

ollie has this too, on the back of her legs. I thought the groomer got too close with the clippers but it never grew back. I wish I had an answer for you

Is this a hot spot?
Is she felmale w/puppies?
Our vet told us heart worms can cause patches of hair loss.. even ring worm.
Our dog has this and his test came back neg for worms.
