Hair Help Please.

So, my hair has changed so much recently. It is very blah.

My stylist told me to stop using conditioner so I did and it looked great for a while.

I use Dove shampoo, then I blow it out with a touch of straightener and it looks okay just a little staticy. Then, when I try to flat iron it - it looks SO greasy! My mom actually thought my hair was wet the other day it looked so greasy!

Any suggestions?

I would switch shampoos. I was using Dove and it was great the first few washings and then it completely dried out my hair.

Maybe start with a clarifying shampoo (I love Biolage) to remove any build up and then try a different brand shampoo.

Have you tried Neutragena clarifying shampoo? You use it once a week, and it removes residue, and then you can go back to your regular shampoo.

If you do want to use a little conditioner, put it on the ends of your hair only, but before you shampoo, and then wash your hair so the ends are protected, but you are still cleaning your scalp & roots, and not conditioning them .

The shampoo suds will wash out the conditioner on the ends.
For the static, Dove has a lotion that's basically an anti-frizz product for fine hair--that's helps me in the winter when Im all staticky & doesn't make my hair greasy.

I don't straighten my hair, but when it's greasy, I use Oscar Blandi dry shampoo--even after I've styled.

my stylist told me not to use Dove anymore. That it is actually one of the worst for your hair. I don't know how true that is i'm sure it may work fine for some. I stopped using it and bought Kerasilk shampoo and conditioner. Its helped my hair a lot.

Re: Hair Help Please.

You need a clarifying shampoo.

You want to try an EXCELLENT one?

Try Milta De Perales lemon shampoo. You will feel/see the difference right away! You can find it in the ethnic section at CVS (where all the spanish stuff is).

I have home remedies too if you want some! Just FM me!
