Hair Extensions
I have been considering getting extensions. But from what I haven been reading it is really painful and hard to maintain. Anyone have any personal experience they can share with me?

Re: Hair Extensions
Not me personally, but my firend have had them. I have never heard that they hurt, and i have never heard they were hard to maintain. I guess its all about how they are put in and who does them. I have a friend that does them. her shop is in east northport, let me know if you want her info.

Re: Hair Extensions
I have had them for a few years. They take a bit of time to get used to caring for them (you need a special brush, you have to comb them to avoid knots) and sleeping with them the first few times is weird but they are not painful! It is more a bit of a pain in the arse with the upkeep!

Re: Hair Extensions
I had them. They are not painful, just a little uncomfortable when they are first added.
You will wash your hair differently, so as not to disturb the rows.
Also you can have them glued in by placing smaller pieces rather than sew them into braided rows. But the effect is not the same and you are more likely to lose pieces.
I had to get mine re-tacked every 8 weeks - 3 mos. It depends on how quickly your hair grows.
