hair cut and tip prices
If you don't mind sharing, how much do you typically spend on hair cuts, and what do you tip?
And if you get color, highlights, JHS, Keratin, etc, what do you pay and tip?
I feel like with some of the expensive treatments, or expensive stylists, the tip comes out really high if you stick to 20%. Just wondering if everybody does tip that. (For example, if you get keratin and a cut, and the total price for that is say $600, do you tip $120?)

I always tip 20% of the cost of the service..yes, sometimes it is high but that is how I do it, for ex: last weekend I got the keratin, my bill came to around $220 - so I tipped $50

I usually go in for cut, color, and blow dry... that's $80 and I give a $10 tip to the hair dresser and $5 tip to the shampoo girl- she usually blow dries my hair, too, while the hair dresser actually cuts and colors it.

My hair cut costs $35
I tip the shampoo lady $5
I tip the lady that cuts and straightens it $10.
Total: $50.

got s cut/blow dry this morning , $45 and gave $10 tip . I normally give him $7 or 8, but I cut it short today instead of a little trim and he spent a lot of time blow drying it

I went a couple of weeks ago for cut,color (including some highlights) and blow dry my total was $300. I tipped $60 ($45 to my stylist and $15 to her assistant).

Wash,cut and blow out, $25.00 I tip 8.00 because my hair is thick and shoulder length, it takes along time to blow out my hair, so I give her the 8.00 tip.
