Had you heard of the name Addison before Grey's Anatomy?
MSN just released the top baby names of 2008 and Addison is in the top ten.
I LOVE the name and had never heard of it before Grey's Anatomy. I'm just curious - was it a popular name before (and I was just out of the loop) or do you think this is mostly because of Grey's Anatomy?

Yes I have. Addison, Madison, etc were all popular before Grey's.

I have heard of it before. Addison was a choice for us but I nixed it because it doesnt go with my last name and we really wanted a name from the Old Testament.

I had heard of it, and always loved it! I think it has become far more popular since Grey's though.

I didn't but I didn't really have a alot of friends with kids until the last couple years anyway so I probably wouldn't have heard it much even if it was out there.
