11 weeks is way too early. Don't give up on Team Pink yet.

My tech told me it was way too early at 12 weeks and didn't even venture to guess. I really wanted her to at least take a guess but she wouldn't even do that.

yeah i figured that... the sono tech is an old friend of mine and we "looked" to see what was down there... there was definitly a little bump!! we'll see if it goes away!
(she correctly guessed my other boys at 12 weeks... maybe she got lucky?_)

Re: had my ultrascreen test today

The tech at my 12 ultrascreen told us it was a girl, and it was confirmed at my Level II and my Amnio that we are having a girl.

Don't give up hope on having a girl! I was told by my radiologist at 12 weeks that she was 95% sure it was a BOY! Mind you, when I looked at the scree, I saw what DEFINITELY looked like boy parts. 8 weeks later at my Level II, lo and behold, it's a GIRL! Imagine my shock after thinking it was a boy for 8 weeks and telling the EVERYONE it's a boy! (and they say that if they say it's a boy early on, they are usually right - not in my case!).

Either way, I'm thrilled - but it's still a shock! And definitely a funny story to tell!

Here is a website I found that shows the girl and boy parts early on - and you can see how similar they are!

I have wished and willed myself to have a girl. I am positive I am carrying a girl. Husband just laughs at me.

Re: had my ultrascreen test today

The male and female anatomy start out the same at first and do not differentiate until male or female until 14-16 weeks. They both look like penis' at first. If its a boy it will continue to grow and become larger, if its a female it will turn into a clitoris.

I have a really great book at home that shows picture of the genitalia of both male and female fetus' at 13 weeks and they are THE SAME!!!! They both have protruding parts shaped like a penis.
