Had my first appointment today
Saw the yolk sac and the embryo and a beating heart. Doc said everything looks great. But I am measuring a week behind where I should be based on my LMP. I thought I was 6w4d and he said baby looks about 5.5w. He didn't seem at all concerned, but I kind of feel unsettled about it. The thing is, while I don't really have any clue when I ovulated, I know when DH and I BD'd. So I feel like it doesn't add up. Anyone else experience this and everything was totally fine?

Re: Had my first appointment today
I think sperm can live for at least 3 days once inside of you...and then after you ovulate & it fertilizes the egg, it can be a few more days before implanting...so that could be why your calculations based on when you are ahead of the sono's date. Also, the sono could be +\- a day or 2...so when you take all of that into account, I think it adds up. Try not to worry! Especially if everything looked fine!

At 5w5d you wouldn't be able to see a heartbeat since that starts around 6w. Having a hb is a really good sign, though! I'm sure it's just early and the tech's measurements were off.
Congrats!
