Had my 1st IUI today...
and boy did it hurt!!! They had to do a chlamydia test which hurt first and then she put the catheter in and that hurt too...My LEEP and cryo really did a number on my cervix so thankfully it was over quickly...I followed that with an acupuncture session at south shore acupuncture...it did not hurt a bit and I hope it helps with my uterine lining. Wish us luck!!! I go back next Tuesday to check my progesterone levels.

That is great that it didnt hurt you...my cervix has been through a lot over the yrs...

Good luck!!! I find the IUIs slightly painful as well. I just close my eyes and pray to St. Gerard while its happening.

Mine hurt the first time, too but that's because they poked around so much! After I told them that my cervix is curvy like a boomerang, they got the picture and started to use a different catheter. Ever since then it's been smooth sailing. Good luck!

I am feeling much better today...I think it must have been fluid retention or something cause my abdomen feels less tender...still feeling a bit bloated but I think by tomorrow I should be all good.
