Had IUI on Halloween
I went for my last monitoring appt. on Monday in the beginning of the storm and I had two follicles that were ready to go. 1 at 24 and the other just over 18. (The power went out 2x while I was being checked!)
Dr. Halfen said it looked like I was gonna surge that day, hopefully I didn't because they would be closed Tuesday and we wouldn't be able to do the IUI. To hope it waited until Tuesday.
I tested 3x on Monday and no smiley. Tuesday Morning, nothing. Tuesday afternoon, got my smiley!
All the offices were closed, all numbers were busy. Finally on Wendnesday morning I got in touch with their Brooklyn office and they were able to get the Dr. on the phone through his cell and they made an appt. for me at the Mineola Office.
Dr. said according to my blood work from Monday, I was on track to surge on Tuesday so everything was going correctly.
We had 85.9 million washed sperm!! Of course DH did everything but bow lol Dr. & Nurse were impressed with the numbers. I was just grateful to be able to go ahead with the IUI. I thought this month, with all of the obstacles... Between the cyst, the follicles growing and then not growing and then the surge threatening to come too soon and of course this horrific storm. I pretty much lost all hope. But somehow, we pulled it off. Hoping all of these obstacles just means it's gonna work!!!!
I go back for progesterone check 1 week from IUI.
This is gonna be a longgggg 2 weeks

YAY! What a scary time to be in the middle of a cycle. We're in a panic because we lost all of our meds and may not be able to start this cycle, but I cannot imagine being in the middle of one and not being able to do my IUI or transfer. I'm glad it worked out well for you! Must be meant to be! Baby dust to you!!
