Why in the world did they take so long to call you?
I hope it was just an off result and the second is okay.

I should have realized when i went there to pick up paperwork i had them fill out, i asked the recept. if got results and she said oh here they are and she asked if i wanted to stay for results, i said "nah, its probable normal, i'll wait for call" and she didnt say anything..
I hope the second test is fine.. They said i have to go before christmas..

I think that your health is VERY important. But since it sounds like you don't want to give up BFing, do some more research and ask them a lot of questions before going on a mediciation that will force you to stop.
Have they offered any advise in behavior modification to help lower your blood sugar? (or suggested that you see a dietitian?) What medication would they like to go on? Are there medications that are compatible with BFing?
I did a quick search on kellymom.com and came up with this information. I don't know how helpful it will be for you. I would also suggest posting in one of their forums about this. There is a much higher volume of BFers on there and someone may have gone through something similar. Their mods are also very helpful.

Re: Had GD and had Blood retested after pregnancy, got results
I was insulin-dependent GD during my pregnancy and was never told to be retested after the birth, which I found a little weird. I test my blood occassionally with my home kit & it's usually ok. Have you continued to test your blood at home? Maybe the test you had done was abnormally high (160 is pretty high)- do you know if it's always that high?? I would HIGHLY recommend getting a second opinion- I would personally not give up BF in the same situation. Diabetics can BF, but if it's not important to your doctor, they may not necessarily try very hard to work with you to make it happen.
Good luck & let us know what happens.
