Had a Passport Heart Attack

Two years ago we went to Turks and I looked everywhere for our passports and couldn't find them. They were definitely MIA. With a week to go I had to have them expedited and it cost $$$$$$.

fast forward to this week. DH is going away Friday and needs his passport. Last week I start looking for them. Nowhere to be found. I turned the whole house upside down.

We're thinking he may have to go down to the passport office and get another!

Finally last night I went through our files again, one by one taking each file out looking at every single piece of paper and finally stuck in another file were the passports..whew!!!

I knew I filed them away because I wanted to know where they were at all times.

So glad...with 3 days to spare..

DH & I went through that last month, and boy did I panic.

I've gone through that before (I hadn't unpacked my carryon completely from my last international trip)... It's quite frustrating!

Do you have a safe you can keep them in? This is what we do with ours.

thank goodness you found them. We moved cross-country and had to go immediately to Europe for a family emergency and I had NO CLUE where it was packed...and had to get a new one expedited.
