Sorry, but I am glad NY didn't get the olympics. I hate that SOB and this is karma. Sorry, I sound so mean. But this is the twist that I am grinning over. Now take care of your schools!!!!!!!!!!

Ironically, I felt a little sad that NYC lost, even though I absolutely did not want the Olympics here. I just hate to lose, even when it's the city I used to live in (and still work for!). I'm just weird like that.
But I agree wholeheartedly that there are much better ways to spend the money. It was going to be an economic gamble (and a safety one too, IMO.)
