Gyms and Daycare

DS is almost 9 months and im itching to get back in shape but Im still super nervous on leaving him a the daycare center at the gym. The people that work at the daycare of the gym i used to go to all have to have a lot of experience (10 yrs i believe) and background checks. I've heard of some gyms having videos all around of the daycare so you can see whats going on while working out, but i don't think my old gym has one. Id most likely only be there for 30 mins-60 mins but i cant help but feel anxious about it.

What age would you/did you feel comfortable leaving your LO at the gym daycare?

DS will be 8 months next week and it has been so hard to get to the gym because DH doesnt get home until 10. The only time I can go is at 5am.

That being said, I WISH my gym had a daycare. I would've been comfortable using it around 6-7 months. If you know the people at the gym and it is clean, I would drop him off. If my gym had a daycare, I would probably check on him in between routines now and then (20 minutes here and there).

LA fitness has a daycare and I tried it a few times. The place was clean but when I asked it seemed anyone who could legally work could be there. There was no certification or even on the job training of any kind. I wasn't comfortable at this age (DD is now 8 months but was 4 mos). I actually cancelled my membership and I tried working out at home instead. Ultimately, I decided to join Planet Fitness and go before work. Maybe when she was 18 months or so I would try it again.

I go to Lifetime Fitness and they have a great childcare center including an infant area with cribs. My kids were 13 months and 3.5 years when we joined, but I would heave felt comfortable if they were infants.

I just joined xsports and they have a daycare...

You can watch the daycare on the treadmill but I'm not paying $40 a month to run on a treadmill.

I meet with the trainer from 8-9 or 830-930 after DD goes to bed.

I was actually going to ask you to watch DD on Friday while I meet with the trainer during the day - I just don't think I'll ever feel comfortable leaving her there.

Can you go after DS goes to bed?
