Gymboree?
Has anybody ever done a class there with their child? If so, how was your experience? Christopher definitely needs to interact with children more and since there aren't any kids in the family and none of my friends have children, he doesn't have many opportunities. Is it worth the money? Also, did you pay class by class or did you pay for a full season (16 or 30 weeks)? TIA!

Re: Gymboree?
I think most gymborees will let you try out a free class -- why don't you see how it goes?

Re: Gymboree?
Marissa -- this is the website to find a Gymboree Location
Also there is a place called Music Together that I've heard of.
When my sister was little she had a play group at a local church that my mom brought her to on Thursdays --- all the moms sat around and drank coffee, talked, and the babies just played. It was like $8/month --- basically for cleaning. I wonder if any places do that still. I know my church does but it's only during the week on mornings and aside from the summer I'm usually working.

Re: Gymboree?
Thanks for posting this! The closest one to me is in St. James. They say right on the site that you can try out a free class. Duh...I should've looked it up . We'll have to sign up for a free class and see how he likes it!

Re: Gymboree?
I just joined Gymboree last week and I LOVED it!!!!! They are located in Merrick, Oceanside, Hicksville, Woodbury, Great Neck, East Northport, Oakdale and St. James. In the summer you pay for one class but can attend as many as you like! Steven is in the Level 2 6-10 month olds but I think since I can attend other classes as well I am going to try the level 3 10-16 month olds. He is one of the oldest in this class so he's one of the only ones crawling!
I signed up for the fall session today since I will be working in the fall and need Sat because there is only one class for each level on Sat.

is this true for all the locations? If so, sounds like quite a deal and a good reason to start going now. How much do they charge for a class?
