guest room design question
3 walls are painted BM white dove. accent wall is BM dinner party (burgandy color)
the white head board will be against the red wall with two white night stands on either side of the bed.
on the night stand will be black and white damask lamps from Pier 1 - cant find a pic :(
is this bedding too much for patterned lamps??
TIA!!

Re: guest room design question
It may fight one another since damask is such an intricate pattern and the pattern on that bedspread is so eye catching as well. I'd probably go with a basic comforter and let the lamps be the design piece in that room.

Re: guest room design question
I JUST redid my bedroom with that bedding but in the spice color. Its even better in person!
But to answer your question, yes, I think directly next to the comforter would be too much. I have solid white shades next to mine.

Re: guest room design question
I would get the bedding and get solid shades. It would be too much.

Re: guest room design question
I would opt for these (minus the pink shade, use white)

Re: guest room design question
I would keep both.... Try it out first.
In our bedroom I have toile bedding and striped curtains...
It may not be as busy as you think since the pattern on the bedding is more towards the foot of the bed.
I would wait to return the lamps - or if you're running out of time - return them then re-buy them so you have more time to make a decision - lol.

thanks!
i just realized its the same one as yours. guess i really loved it!
i think i will be better off with the solid shades.
im doing the room all black white and red and i dont want it to compete with too many patterns.
