Re: Guest Bdrm Art
although they are all beautiful paintings.. i just dont really like them. I think you need something with some color or life to it.

Re: Guest Bdrm Art
out of those I'd pick #3. The first two are sort of sad looking. The room is already very soothing, I think the art can be more lively.

Re: Guest Bdrm Art
thanks for the replies.
all are definitely muted and lack the pop of color that art should really add to a room but the color palette and tone that i am trying to achieve is a soft, serene and shabby chic look.
created a cardboard mock (36x21.5) and think that the 36" width is ideal. height could be increased but that is the only size cardboard i had. #3 is 36x24", VERY close match and the least expensive of all 3.

Re: Guest Bdrm Art
I really like #3 because of the pop of red. That could easily be brought into the room with some pillows or vases.
Pretty room.

Re: Guest Bdrm Art
#3 of all of them because its got the pop of red and the nice green color. The other two options are too muted and wouldn't really stand out at all.. sort of like not really having anything there at all.

Re: Guest Bdrm Art
i like the blues in number 2. although, i do think whatever you choose could have a bit more color...
shabby chic = flowers to me... small itty bitty flowers...

Re: Guest Bdrm Art
thanks for all the replies. i ordered #3.
still have a few more things to do to complete the room (woven blinds, ivory panels, chandelier shades and new area rug, more accessories) but glad that the art is decided.
rkoenke - you are so right about shabby chic = flowers. ironically i am not a fan of floral decor so the art was a bit of a stretch for me. i know it is not true shabby chic but i think the colors are a good example. i am drying hydrangeas from the yard and plan to use in the room as another floral accent.

Re: Guest Bdrm Art
#3 wouldn't have received my vote. Great choice! Your room is coming along great. Can't wait to see it finished.
