WHat happen to my little boy who slept through the night?

Was it cereal the other night? Is it his teeth? The cold he's been fighting for over a week? What the heck is going on?

I even tried co-sleeping...and no successChat Icon

He's went to bed earlier than usualy these past 2 nights....but I CANT get him to stay up any later...

I wouldnt even mind if he was just waking to eat...but he refuses to go back to bed...

What do I do?

Re: Guess who

Hi, and sorry for the lack of sleep. I Know form my son that it is hard to get the little ones back into a rountine for sleeping. If Ryan was waking up in the middle of night because of his cold it might take a few weeks for him to get into the routine of sleeping agian. I just know not to interact with him and keep the lights down. He will realize its not playtime

Re: Guess who

It sounds like we're all going thru the same thing - 1st Talia then Alex, Joseph and now Ryan! Could it be a 3 mo thing? He's waking up sometimes every hour!Chat Icon I'm just waiting for it to pass...I honestly don't think it's the cereal - maybe teething or a cold...or just a "thing"Chat Icon

Re: Guess who

Yeah, Alex is still doing the same thing - she'll wake up at 12am, 3am and then 7am. The 12am isn't so bad, she'll go back to sleep. But at the 3am it's impossible to get her back to sleep. If it seems that she's really not going back to sleep, I dont try to fight it because it makes things worse. Instead, I keep the lights very low, put on some soft nursery music and talk to her very gently. At the first yawn, I rock her over my shoulder and she'll go back to sleep right away.

Re: Guess who

sameissue here. 11,2,5- and he stirs to wake every hour so I am on hand patrol all night. If those hands startle he wakes up.

It started when he was 3 months. It ended up that he was hungry and eatingtoo much formula (liquid) and not having time to digest it so it was coming up and causing discomfort and gas. Now he has a little cereal in the bottle. But he still gets up to eat and he is starving.

Is he spitting up more than usual?

Re: Guess who

Julia was up till like 12am last night, and she usually goes to bed at like 9-9:30. It was her teething that was keeping her up so late, I felt sooooo bad for her so I gave her a little tylenol and just walked around her room till she passed out in my arms. I guess the tylenol worked cause she sleeped till like 9 this morning!

Maybe its his teeth thats keeping him up, I would try giving him a little tylenol before he goes to bed maybe that will help?? Chat Icon

the spitting up is what happened to us. He was eating alot of formula and it was coming back up because he would not have time to digest it. It happened for like two night he constantly wanted to be held upright and screamed when we put him flat. They said he was refluxing like adults do wen they eat too much.

Re: Guess who

I totally think its a three month thing - I had heard this a lot from mothers before I had the baby and just kind of shrugged it off - but maybe there is something to it.
