Guess I have to get a new swimsuit

I really thought the one thing from prepregnancy that would continue to fit fine would be my bikinis since they have nothing to do with my belly Chat Icon A couple weeks ago I tried them on and they still fit fine, but now all of a sudden at 23 weeks they just don't fit at all! My boobs and hips must have grown a lot very quickly because everything is hanging out and its a not a good look! Guess I have to go shopping. Is a maternity suit a necessity, or do you think I could get away with a regular bikini in a bigger size?

I bought a regular one in a bigger size. But it took me a while to find one that did not feel like my belly was suffocating.

I did too, and I'm getting a maternity one so I'll have something to grow into.

For me even going up a size in the regular suit wasn't enough. I ended up buying a maternity one from target.

Re: Guess I have to get a new swimsuit

I would go with a maternity swim suit for the extra support - my boobs were always hurting with DS1. If I went too long in a non-supportive bathing suit, they would hurt even more. I was annoyed when after he was born and my belly finally receded that my shirts still didn't fit because of my boobs! 2.5 years later and I'm still a D-cup (I was a small B before - urgh!).
