GT today---UPDATED.

I've been up since 5 and my appt. is not until 9:10. I don't know how I am going to last so long w/o eating anything!!!

My FIL is driving me. I'm such a nut........I worry about passing out. We might go look at the stroller I want afterwards, so I guess it will be worth the wait!!

Make sure you bring something for after...a bagel or something...you might be hungry!!

For my first, I had my husband go with me to the test. I felt like I was going to pass out often during the test, and I kept going to the bathroom, thinking I would throw up. So then for this one, I had my mom come with me. But I had no reaction to it at all. It was really weird.


ETA: Just realized that your test is now over!!! Hopefully you are enjoying a nice breakfast!!!

So made it through the first round of blood work. No problem. Drank the drink in a couple of minutes.

Wasn't bad at all ladies. Tasted just like a cold orange sunkist.

Sat for an hour in the waiting room talking to my MIL.

Got called in, did my BP and weight, took more blood. Fine.

Nurse asked me to go eat my granola bar and drink some water and in about 30 minutes, she wanted to hook me up to the monitor to test the baby's heart rate.

Fine.

Until...................I was lying down hooked up to the monitor. After about 5 or 10 minutes, I started feeling all hot, the room felt like it was spinning, my back felt like it was on fire...........luckily my MIL was in the room and grabbed a plastic bag. I puked into it the rest of the "orange drink".

The doctor then came in and said not to worry----------this is pretty normal. It also may be the position I was lying down in (straight on my back). Everything looks good with the heartbeat too!

As soon as I puked I felt totally fine. We did even go to IHOP for pancakes (pumpkin, yummy!!) and then to BBB where I got my Cortina travel system.


I could fall asleep right now, but I have to head out to Medford for a meeting. I hope I don't have to go to the 3 hour GT now!!!
